Universities Indonesia  (UI) launched a global university ranking in 2010, later known as (UI Green-Metric World University Rankings), to measure sustainability efforts on campus. The aim was to create an electronic database to know sustainability programs and policies for universities around the world. The ranking of universities was based on the extent to which environmental conservation standards were applied. The indicators and weights of this classification were designed to be as bias free as possible. The process of collecting and submitting data is relatively simple and time-consuming not much by the classifiers.
