The Chancellor of the University of Thi Qar, Professor Dr.Kamal Hamid Al-Yasiri, honoredassistant Professor Dr. Shamil Mohsen Hadi from the American University of Auckland, with the University Shield and the Ziggurat of Ur honorary, in recognition of his efforts in transferring scientific expertise and enhancing academic cooperation between University of Thi-Qar and international scientific institutions. This happened in the presence of the Vice-Chancellor for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Shakir Kadhem Ali, and a number of directors of scientific departments at the university. During the meeting, the Chancellor of the University welcomed Dr. Shamil Mohsen Hadi, praising his valuable scientific contribution and cooperation with the university by presenting an advanced scientific lecture on dynamic causal modeling and its applications in functional magnetic resonance imaging, within the visiting professor’s program. He stressed that the university is keen to enhance academic cooperation and openness to international expertise to develop scientific research and raise the academic level. Dr. Shamil Mohsen Hadi expressed his gratitude for this honor and good reception, pointing to the importance of strengthening academic and research partnerships between Iraqi universities and international universities, contributing to the development of higher education and scientific research.
