\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The University of Thi-Qar was established in 2002. It\u00a0 includes eighteen scientific and humanitarian colleges, with 21,972 male and female students for undergraduate morning and evening studies and 1109 students for graduate studies. Those are distributed to over 46 scientific departments and 29 scientific branches that have embraced more than 1654 teaching staff with different scientific titles. The total number of its employees is 1654.<\/span><\/p>\n

The University Council performs multiple tasks according to the authorities granted to it by law as it is the highest authority in the university which supervises the progress of work in all university formations of scientific and administrative levels. It submitted recommendations to the ministry on matters that fall outside the powers of the Council.
