University of Thi-Qar

The University of Thi-Qar was established in 2002. It  includes eighteen scientific and humanitarian colleges, with 21,972 male and female students for undergraduate morning and evening studies and 1109 students for graduate studies. Those are distributed to over 46 scientific departments and 29 scientific branches that have embraced more than 1654 teaching staff with different scientific titles. The total number of its employees is 1654.

The university has erected several structures including academic buildings, constructions, dormitories, sports stadiums, laboratories, and classrooms built according to the latest urban designs.

The university pays special attention to Clean Energy and endeavors to harness its capabilities and potency to complete various projects in this field, including the allocation of green spaces in all its colleges and the allocation of green spaces for student graduation  parties held annually.

The university has four research centers and five consulting centers that provide engineering consultations to various institutions, several of which have obtained international accreditation.

To enhance the university’s position globally, the university has held many agreements and memorandums of cooperation with the most prestigious international universities.

The university supplies various services and community contributions to all segments, including holding workshops, training courses, and holding scientific conferences to provide the community with active competencies and develop the capabilities of trainees.

An integrated vision owned by the University of Thi-Qar has enabled it to reach high levels that open new horizons for it and its students.

The university becomes able to get in the prestigious international classifications and international accreditations, including international accreditation from the World Federation for Medical Education.
